Custom layouts, an editor you can actually use
A WordPress site designed around how your Calgary business sells, with an editing screen simple enough for whoever answers your phone.

01Start from a solid, tested theme
Overview
Our WordPress design work in Calgary starts with a question about money rather than colours: which jobs, products or clients do you want more of next year? A roofing company chasing hail repairs, a Beltline clinic filling evening appointments and an engineering firm bidding on facility work all need very different home pages. Once that is clear, we plan the menu, decide which services deserve their own pages and only then move to fonts, photos and colour. That order sounds backwards to some owners, yet it prevents the common result of an attractive site that nobody can find the right page on. Your logo, existing photos and any brand colours are folded into the plan from the first draft.
Each design is made for your business instead of being a purchased theme with your logo dropped in. That keeps pages lighter, avoids the clutter of features you never use and gives every section a reason to be there. We build with the standard WordPress block editor wherever we can, so the site does not depend on a heavy page builder that may be abandoned in a few years and leave you stuck. You see the design as a working staging site rather than a flat picture, so you can tap through it on your own phone, share it with a business partner and send comments page by page before anything goes public.
Handover is where WordPress design either works or fails. Clients near the office can come in for a short training session in southwest Calgary, where we go through the edits you are most likely to make: changing hours, adding a staff profile, publishing a news item or replacing a picture. Others get the same walkthrough by video. You also receive a short written guide written for your own site, not a generic manual. Keeping the editor tidy matters too: we hide settings you will never need, so the screen your staff open each week shows only the fields that belong to your content and nothing that could break the layout.

FAQ
What Calgary clients ask about wordpress design. Tap a question to see our answer.
Not as a starting point. We design the layout for your business and build it with a lean theme and the block editor. That avoids paying for, updating and working around dozens of features you will never use. If you already own a theme you like, we can discuss keeping it, though a custom build is usually easier to maintain over time.
That is the goal of the handover. We set up the editor so the common tasks are obvious, lock the parts that should not change by accident and walk your team through real edits on the live site. Calgary clients can do this at our office. If something is still confusing afterwards, support during the first month is included.
Most small Calgary businesses land on Silver at $1,249 for four or five pages or Silver+ at $1,849 for eight to ten. A simple one- or two-page site fits Startup at $399, and larger sites with many service pages or e-commerce fit Corporate at $3,490. The quote names the package and the pages included.
Often, yes. If your current hosting is reasonably fast and up to date, we can build the new design on a staging copy and switch it over when you approve it. If the hosting is slow or very outdated, we lay out the pros and cons and offer to move it, but the decision stays yours.
